The Power Team Sets Sights on Potchefstroom for 14-Tonne Truck Haul
The Power Team will haul a 14-tonne truck through Potchefstroom on 5 November as part of The Bigg Pull, an ambitious 41-day journey covering 1,671 kilometres from Pretoria to Cape Town.
The initiative brings together strength athletes to complete the trek on foot, moving the vehicle entirely by hand using a single rope.
A National Challenge
The event originally launched in 2003 and returns in 2026 for a new generation. Designed as a purpose-led national project, the route spans key stops across South Africa, tested against physical endurance and the open road.
Every stage of the journey from start to finish is broadcast live daily, allowing supporters across the country to follow the progress online.
Passing Through on 5 November
Locals can spot the team in motion as they navigate through town on Thursday, 5 November. The public, school groups, and local sports clubs are welcome to gather along the route, cheer on the athletes, and watch the haul firsthand.
Updates, live broadcasts, and further details are available at The Bigg Pull. A preview of the challenge can also be viewed via their official video.
