Potchefstroom Central School Cricketers Picked for North West Trials and Potch Oaks Teams
Selection for provincial trials and representative sides is often the first step on a young cricketer's pathway. Potchefstroom Central School (PCS) shared the list of its "Centralites" who made the cut, congratulating each by name as the cricket season gets under way.
Under-13 North West trials
Six PCS learners were selected for the under-13 North West Cricket Trials Tournament, split across two teams.
- U/13 Team 1: Atlie Mongale, CJ Clifton, MJ Makatani
- U/13 Team 2: Ethan Monyeki, Tumelo Matlokotsi, Lethabo Lesomo
Potch Oaks under-12 and under-11
A further nine learners were chosen for Potch Oaks sides in the younger age groups.
- U/12 Potch Oaks A: Abdul Bjawa, Gullidith Abrahams, Liam Alexander
- U/12 Potch Oaks B: Koketso Makondo, Mosireletsi Pheto
- U/11 Potch Oaks A: Kopano Mofokeng
- U/11 Potch Oaks B: Lebogang Mafoko
The school congratulated all its young cricketers and wished them every success as they represent PCS, urging them to "keep shining and making PCS proud".
A busy term for Centralites
The cricket news came in a strong week for the school's learners. PCS also congratulated Owame Montshiwa, who won gold and first place at a dance competition the previous Saturday.
