Potch Girls' High Rider Franka Kempen Places Fourth and Fifth at SANESA Nationals
Equestrian sport is a demanding discipline that asks as much of the horse as it does of the rider, and a top-five finish at national level is a significant result for a school learner. Potch Girls' High shared the news to congratulate Franka on her performance.
Two top-five finishes in dressage
Franka and Fort Benton competed in two dressage events at the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) National Championships in Kyalami, Gauteng. The pair finished fourth in one and fifth in the other, placing them among the best school riders in the country.
Dressage is judged on precision, control and the partnership between horse and rider, so consistent results across two events reflect hours of training together.
The results
- Event: SANESA National Championships, Kyalami, Gauteng
- Rider and horse: Franka Kempen and Fort Benton
- Results: 4th and 5th nationally in two dressage events
A proud school community
"We are incredibly proud of you, Franka! Keep riding to greatness!" the school wrote on its Facebook page.
