Pedal Power: Hoër Volkskool Cyclists Ride for North West at SA Championships in Stellenbosch
The school wished the two riders luck on the morning of 2 October 2026 as the national championships got under way in the Western Cape. Being picked for the provincial team is a milestone for any school cyclist, and the Volkies community is behind them.
Earned on the bike
In its message, the school said the pair's hard work, dedication and perseverance had earned them the opportunity to ride for North West against the best young cyclists in the country.
"Ons is ongelooflik trots op julle en hou groot duime vas vir 'n suksesvolle kampioenskap," the school wrote, meaning it is incredibly proud of them and keeping its fingers crossed for a successful championship.
