JB Marks Plans Three-Day Water Shutdown in Ikageng Extension 11
Residents of Ikageng Extension 11 between Mogolodi and Sarafina Streets may be without water or have low pressure from 08:00 on Tuesday 13 October until Thursday 15 October 2026 while maintenance is done at Tambo Street.

The municipality has announced a planned water supply shutdown in Ikageng Extension 11 so that maintenance work can be done at Tambo Street. Because the shutdown will last three days, households in the area are being asked to prepare in advance.

Which areas are affected

The notice says the areas between Mogolodi and Sarafina Streets will be affected. Residents in the surrounding streets may experience low water pressure or a complete interruption of supply.

When the water will be off

Help during the shutdown

The municipality says it will deploy a water truck to help affected residents with water while the supply is off. It has apologised for the inconvenience while the maintenance is carried out.

What this means for you

Fill containers with enough drinking and cooking water before 08:00 on Tuesday to last until Thursday, and plan washing and laundry around the shutdown. Keep an eye out for the municipal water truck in your street during the three days.
