JB Marks Closes Sooliman Street in Potchefstroom for Sewer Line Upgrade

Why the road is closed
According to the notice, the closure allows the municipality to complete upgrading works on the Mohadin and Poortjie Dam sewer line. The municipality describes the work as essential infrastructure upgrades.
Closure dates
- Full closure: Saturday 17 October to Monday 19 October 2026
- Partial reopening: Tuesday 20 October to Friday 23 October 2026, with motorists able to use the accessible sections
Alternative routes
During the full closure, the municipality advises motorists to use these routes:
- Allen Hendricks Road (Dassierand)
- Lekhele Road (Ikageng)
- Robertlaan Street (Mohadin/Promosa)
