Hoër Volkskool Under-17 Netballers Finish Sixth in South Africa at Fast5 SA Schools Champs
Hoër Volkskool (Volkies) sent two Fast5 netball teams, its under-15s and under-17s, to the SA Schools Championships this month. The school has now shared how they fared, praising both squads for fighting until the final whistle.
Under-17s catch fire
The school said its under-17 team "caught fire" at the championships and ended the tournament sixth in the country, calling it an outstanding achievement.
Character from the under-15s
The under-15s approached every match with determination. Although they did not finish in the top 16, the school said it was incredibly proud of their character, hard work and loyalty to the team.
Before the tournament, the school had wished both teams well as they headed to the SA's for two days of competition, urging them to give it their all.

A strong fortnight for Potchefstroom netball
The result adds to a strong showing by Potchefstroom schools at national level this month, and the school thanked every player and coach who represented Volkies with pride, saying they had left their hearts on the court.
