Ferdinand Postma High School's Caelee Johnstone Earns South African Saddle Seat Colours
Caelee Johnstone of Hoërskool Ferdinand Postma in Potchefstroom has earned her South African Saddle Seat colours and competed for the SA Academy Team in Standerton from 24 to 26 September 2026, according to a post by the school's Facebook page on 26 September 2026.

Equestrian sport rarely makes the school sports pages, but national colours are national colours. Hoërskool Ferdinand Postma (Ferdies) said it was incredibly proud of Caelee Johnstone, calling her selection an exceptional achievement that reflects her hard work, dedication and passion for the sport.

Riding for the SA Academy Team

Caelee earned her South African Saddle Seat colours and rode as a member of the SA Academy Team at the competition in Standerton. In a photo shared by the school, she wears her Saddle Seat South Africa Academy Team blazer.

The school wished her every success and urged her to enjoy every moment and make the "Blou en Wit" (blue and white) proud.

Ferdies Interact spreads Christmas cheer

In another post on 27 September, the school shared how its Interact club handed over Christmas packs to 400 learners at Buffelsvlei Intermediate. The club said it was a privilege to put smiles on the learners' faces.

"We love you, learners of Buffelsvlei Intermediate! Always remember that God created you for a purpose!" the club told the learners, according to the school.

What this means for you

Learners with a passion for riding can see from Caelee's example that equestrian sport offers a path to national colours. Parents can congratulate her, and the Interact club, on the Ferdinand Postma Facebook page.
