Back Where It Started: Class of 2010 Old Boys Inspire Potch Boys' High Learners
Potch Boys' High welcomed two familiar faces back to its corridors this week. Amo Liebenberg and Gus Masitenyane, who matriculated in 2010, paid a special visit to the school, which its community calls College. Their visit gave today's boys a chance to hear from men who once sat in the same classrooms.
Walking the halls again
According to the school, the two Old Boys came back to walk the halls where their journeys started. They took the time to speak with current learners and shared insights on life, leadership and perseverance beyond the school gates.
The school did not say what careers the two men have followed since leaving school, or which grades they addressed.
Pouring back into the next generation
The school said it was honoured by the visit. "Seeing former boys return to pour back into the next generation is a true testament to the spirit of our school," it wrote.
The visit follows other recent returns by Old Boys to the school, a tradition the school celebrates with its motto for former learners: "Once a Collegian, Always a Collegian."

What this means for you
For current learners, visits like this show what life after matric can look like and that the lessons learnt at school carry on long after the final bell. Old Boys who would like to give back in a similar way can contact the school through its official channels.
Parents can follow the school's Facebook page for news of future visits and events.
