Wings of Destiny: Curro Klerksdorp Bids Farewell to Its Matric Class of 2026
The valediction is one of the last formal moments a matric class shares before the final examinations begin. For Curro Klerksdorp's Grade 12s, the ceremony marked the end of one chapter and the start of a new journey, the school said.
Celebrating a school journey
According to the school, the ceremony celebrated the learners' growth, resilience and achievements, as well as the memories they have made during their years at school.
It was also a chance to recognise the people behind the class: the teachers who guided them, the parents and guardians who supported them, and everyone else who helped shape the Class of 2026.
A message for the exam season
With the final examinations about to start, the school wished its matrics strength, wisdom, confidence and success. It encouraged them to approach every paper with a clear mind, a determined spirit and the courage to give their very best.
The theme of the evening, “Wings of Destiny – Soaring Beyond Limits”, was a fitting send-off for a group about to take the next step beyond school.
What this means for you
For Curro Klerksdorp families with a matric learner, the coming weeks are all about the exams. Help your child keep to a study routine, get enough rest and stay calm on exam days.
