North West DanceSport Colours for KPS Klerksdorp Primary's Tshiriletso Nkotsi and Lethabo Moyakhe
The school called it "a proud moment" and "a provincial achievement". Provincial colours are among the highest honours a primary school learner can earn in their sport, and both girls earned theirs by qualifying at competitive fixtures during the year.
Earning a place in the provincial team
According to the school, Tshiriletso and Lethabo reached this milestone through dedication and by qualifying successfully at competitive DanceSport events. That earned them the honour of representing the North West Provincial DanceSport Team at national level.
Both girls dance at Roots Dance Studio, and the school credited their passion, discipline and hard work for the achievement.
On the national stage in Kuilsriver
The provincial team travelled to Kuilsriver in the Western Cape for the National Street Dance Club League Championships, which ran from 9 to 11 October 2026. The school did not share results from the championships in its post.

What this means for you
For KPS families, this is a reminder that learners can earn provincial honours in many sports outside the traditional school codes. Learners interested in DanceSport can ask the school or a local dance studio how competitive qualification works.
Keep an eye on the school's Facebook page for news on how the girls did in Kuilsriver, and join the school in congratulating them.
