Matlosana Delivers Title Deeds Door to Door in Matlosana Estate Ext 10
The visits are part of the municipality's Title Deed Restoration Programme. A title deed is the legal proof that a household owns its home, and the campaign aims to get these documents into the hands of the people they belong to.
Why the programme was revived
According to the notice, the Directorate of Planning and Human Settlements has set a target to register and hand over 3,869 title deeds between 2026 and 2027. In line with that target, the Title Deeds Distribution Programme has been revived and a door-to-door campaign will deliver the deeds to eligible households.
The notice carries the name of the Member of the Mayoral Committee for Planning and Human Settlements, Cllr Portia Mtshawulana.
