Milner High School has named the two learners who will lead its learner body into the new academic year. The announcement, shared with a poster carrying the school's motto, "Prosperamus", drew a stream of congratulations from parents, family and friends in the comments.
Two new faces at the front of the school
Lihle Nkacha takes over as head boy and Stacey Dunjana as head girl. As the school's top learner leaders, they will represent their peers at school functions and serve as the link between learners and staff in the year ahead.
- Head boy: Lihle Nkacha
- Head girl: Stacey Dunjana
- Term of office: 2026–2027 academic year
- Announced: 15 October 2026
A proud moment for families
The post quickly gathered well over a hundred reactions. Parents and community members left messages of support, with one commenter writing that they were "so proud" of the pair. The school itself kept its message short: "Congratulations to our New Headboy and Headgirl."
A busy season at Milner
The leadership announcement comes as the school's matric Class of 2026 begins its final examinations, and only weeks after Milner learner Ofentse Setlhabetsi was crowned national champion at the SA Gymnastics Championships. The new leaders step into their roles at a time when the school has plenty to celebrate.
What this means for you
Learners can expect to see Lihle and Stacey leading assemblies and school events from the new academic year. Parents who would like to congratulate the pair can do so on the school's Facebook page, where Milner will also share news of the rest of its learner leadership team.
