HTS Klerksdorp Drummies Head to Cape Town for the National Drum Majorettes Championship

Klerksdorp has a team on the road to the Mother City. Technical High School Klerksdorp, known locally as HTS Klerksdorp, announced on Facebook that its drummies team is on its way to Cape Town for the National Drum Majorettes Competition. The school posted the news on the morning of departure.

A season's work behind the trip

In its post the school said it is incredibly proud of the team and of all the hard work, dedication and passion the girls have put into the journey to nationals. Qualifying for a national championship in drum majorettes means working through school, district and provincial rounds first.

The school wished the team the very best of luck and asked them to go out, give it their all and make HTS proud.

Drummies at national level

Drum majorettes is a strong school code in the North West, and national championships draw teams from every province for routine, march and display categories judged over several days.

HTS Klerksdorp closed its post with the school motto, Uberrimae Fidei.
