Hoerskool Schoonspruit Says Farewell to Former Principal Anca Swart

Hoerskool Schoonspruit has said goodbye to one of its own. The Klerksdorp school published a farewell tribute on Facebook to Mev Anca Swart, who was principal of the school and later a colleague to the person who wrote the post. The message was headed simply Totsiens Mev Swart.

An honour and a privilege

The tribute opens by describing it as an incredible honour and privilege to be able to say that Mev Swart was principal of Hoerskool Schoonspruit when the writer was a learner there, and that they later had the privilege of working alongside her.

The school said she worked, served and lived for the Schoonies with great passion, and that her love for the school, its learners, its staff and the whole Schoonie world left a mark that will never be forgotten.

A new chapter at Hartenbos

Mev Swart is moving to Hartenbos. In the post the school told her to enjoy this new chapter of her life, adding that Hartenbos is getting a real jewel, and wished her and Mnr Swart every moment of the things they have waited so long for.

It also asked that they be kept safe on the road and blessed in the new season ahead.

Once a Schoonie

The school ended the tribute by saying it will miss her enormously but is grateful for the mark she left on Schoonspruit, and closed with the line: once a Schoonie, always a Schoonie.
