Hoërskool Schoonspruit Anglers Cast Off for 2026 SA Schools Champion of Champions
Five of Hoërskool Schoonspruit's under-19 anglers are packing their rods for the Champion of Champions – 2026 South African Schools Championships, taking place from 2 to 4 October 2026. The Klerksdorp school sent the team off with a proud message on its Facebook page on 22 September 2026.
Angling may not draw the crowds that rugby does, but reaching a national schools championship is a serious achievement, and the school made sure its "Schoonie-arende" know the whole community is behind them. The school wished the boys tight lines, hungry fish and big catches, and asked them to show what Schoonie spirit looks like on the water.
