City of Matlosana Reports Water Interruption Across Alabama During Pump Maintenance
The entire Alabama area was without water on Thursday 1 October 2026 while pumps at Alabama Extension 19 were being maintained, with supply expected back by midnight, according to a notice on the City of Matlosana Facebook page.

The City of Matlosana issued a public notice informing Alabama residents of a water supply interruption affecting the whole area. The municipality said its technical team was on site and that water would be restored once the work was finished.

Why the water was off

According to the notice, the interruption was caused by maintenance on pumps at Alabama Extension 19. The Water Section technical team was attending to the matter on site.

When it would be back

The municipality said water supply would be restored as soon as the maintenance was completed, which was anticipated by midnight on 1 October 2026. The municipality apologised for the inconvenience caused.

Who to contact

What this means for you

If your taps in Alabama are still dry or the pressure is low after the expected restoration time, it may take a while for the system to refill. If the problem continues, report it to the City of Matlosana using the contact details above.

Keep a few containers of clean water stored at home so that you are prepared for future maintenance interruptions.
