Merafong Closes Khutsong Community Park in Batswaneng Until 23 October
The municipality has asked residents of Batswaneng to stay out of the park for the full closure period. The notice is aimed especially at parents and guardians, because the work is on the equipment children use most.
Why the park is closed
According to the notice, the closure allows the municipality's Parks and Cemeteries Section to paint and maintain the playground equipment, so that the facilities are safe and suitable for children and other members of the community.
The municipality says the work forms part of its ongoing efforts to provide safe, clean and well-maintained recreational facilities for all residents.
