Paws Haven Raises R20 000 in Fun "Adopt Your Boss 2026" Fundraiser

The fundraiser asks local managers and business owners to sit in shelter kennels while their team members and friends donate "bail" money to set them free. This year, the event raised R20 000 for the shelter.

Alongside the money raised, community members dropped off large amounts of dry dog food, cat food, and other essential supplies. The shelter team expressed deep thanks to every business, team, and individual who donated, noting that every bit helps care for the animals living at the facility.

Looking forward to next year, organizers hope to expand the event even further. The goal for 2027 is to lock up at least 20 bosses "behind bars" so the shelter can raise enough funds to repair existing kennels and build new ones.
