Following the recent inspirational single and video 'On a Dream' South African storyteller andsongwriter Carol-Ann Meltzer continues her creative journey as Khazimula with the release of her latest single and video 'Celebrate Life' on Friday 21 August.

Once again produced by acclaimed South African producer Mark Beling, 'Celebrate Life' continues the themes of hope, possibility and personal growth introduced in 'On a Dream' ,  while offering a deeper insight into the philosophy behind Khazimula and the concepts and stories with which it is intertwined through new music, new reflections and new ideas.

A celebration of our shared humanity in a world that can often feel divided, 'Celebrate Life' is a hymn of gratitude for the miracle of life, beauty, kindness and hope. It is also an anthem of humanity that reminds us of what unites us, not as members of a particular tribe, religion, generation or any other divisive belief system, but as people who share the same hopes,
dreams, longings and challenges.

Born from the same philosophy of 'Let Your Colours Shine' and 'We Are the Treasure' , 'Celebrate Life'continues this uplifting message and encourages people across all divides to come together as human beings, to celebrate life, to practise gratitude, and to recognise that
every day is both a blessing and a miracle.

The song encourages us to appreciate the beauty in others, regardless of our differences, to
celebrate one another, and to recognise the value of every person. Each of us is a marvel of
creation, with our own individuality and the ability to make a positive difference in the world. We
each contribute to the richness and beauty of humanity.

'Celebrate Life' explores what it truly means to be human. It is this universal message that Carol-Ann Meltzer explores through both the single and its accompanying video.

"One of the things music can do is remind us of things we might have forgotten or neglect to realise,"she says. "We are each of us valuable, each of us a miracle. We need to cherish one another, to celebrate one another, and to realise that life is indeed good."

She adds: "I did not write this song from the perspective of one particular group of people, but rather from the centre of our shared humanity. I wanted to celebrate people of every culture,
every faith, every generation and every background, and anyone who needs a reminder that life
is precious and worth celebrating."

Reflecting on the message behind the song, Carol-Ann says: "I hope this song reminds people that every human life has value. When we celebrate one another, we celebrate life itself."

She concludes: "If you walk away from listening to this song smiling, or even just feeling slightly better than before, then it has done its job."

BIOGRAPHY - KHAZIMULA (CAROL-ANN MELTZER)

Carol-Ann Meltzer is a South African songwriter, storyteller, and the creator of Khazimula, a
musical, literary, and social upliftment journey centred on meaning, light, creativity, and human
connection. Through music, poetry, reflection, storytelling, playlists, publishing, and future social
impact initiatives, she creates work that encourages discovery, connection, and personal
growth.

The name Khazimula, derived from the isiZulu word meaning “to shine” or “to radiate light,” was
born during a visit to the SAMRO offices while Carol-Ann was searching for a stage name. The
word immediately resonated with her vision of hope, possibility, colour, and the belief that every
person has their own unique light to share.

Music has been part of Carol-Ann’s life since childhood. She participated in school productions,
attended the Performing Arts Workshop in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, and spent years collecting
melodies, lyrics, and ideas on a small dictaphone. Those recordings eventually formed the
foundation of Love It Together, a collection of twenty-four original songs developed with arranger

and producer Bryan Schimmel. She also completed coursework in Lyric Writing with the Berklee
College of Music.

A pivotal chapter began when longtime friend Neil Solomon introduced her to producer and
musician Mark Beling of Mean Mr Mustard. Along the way, she also collaborated with songwriter
and vocal coach Anne Steyn, who co-wrote 'Tomorrow' ; and created the first arrangement of 'On a Dream' Vocalist Megan Marks later joined the project, bringing Carol-Ann’s songs to life with warmth, depth, and emotional honesty.

Today, Khazimula is releasing original recordings produced by Mark Beling, while continuing to
expand into storytelling, publishing, curated playlists, and social upliftment initiatives. At the
heart of the project is a simple invitation that guides Carol-Ann’s work: Let Your Colours Shine!
