The challenge was set: we hid the very last set of weekend passes somewhere in town, triggering a town-wide sprint. From Friday, August 28, through Saturday, August 29, all roads led to Lekwena Wildlife Estate for the biggest, most anticipated community event of the year! The Go-To Guy was on the ground behind the scenes as exhibitors set up their stalls, turned on the lights, and brought the grounds to life.

Where Gees Meets Agriculture

A central highlight of the 2026 festival was the massive Agri Section. The grounds were packed with impressive tractor displays, cutting-edge farming machinery, and specialized agricultural technology.

On Saturday, Dr. Theo de Jager delivered a deeply insightful address, sharing valuable perspectives on strategic industry partnerships and sustainable growth within South African agriculture. From advanced farming solutions to authentic rural hospitality, the Agri precinct was a resounding success.

August 29: Bluey, Bingo, and the PnP Kids Trolley Dash!

While Geesfees was rocking Lekwena on Saturday, the West Acres Centre was buzzing with pure family magic!

Children turned out in droves to meet their favorite television characters, Bluey and Bingo, who spent the day posing for photos and spreading smiles across the walkways.

Adding to the excitement, Pick n Pay hosted a high-adrenaline Kids Trolley Dash, where lucky young shoppers got the chance to dash through the aisles and fill their trolleys with treats in a race against the clock!
