Leading Africa's triumph was South Africa’s Romanda Hombir, who advanced to the Top 6 global finalists and was officially crowned Miss World Africa 2026.

• Historic Placement: Hombir’s Top 6 finish marks South Africa’s strongest result at Miss World since Rolene Strauss won the global crown in 2014.

• Clinical Audiologist & Advocate: A 27-year-old clinical audiologist and community health advocate from Mpumalanga, Hombir founded the Caring Purpose Foundation, an initiative dedicated to delivering mobile health screenings, healthcare access, literacy, and skills training to underserved communities across South Africa.

Eritrea Makes History in Global Top 6 Debut

Africa’s impact extended further with a historic achievement by Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin, representing Eritrea, a sovereign nation in East Africa located in the Horn of Africa, bordered by the Red Sea to the east and northeast.
