Community spirit, vibrant hues, and wagging tails converged in a spectacular display of support as local animal rescue shelter Paws Haven celebrated its official first birthday with its inaugural Birthday Colour Run.
The event transformed the venue into a canvas of bright pinks, yellows, and purples, drawing animal lovers, families, runners, and furry companions together to honor a milestone year dedicated to saving animal lives and championing animal welfare.
A Morning of Vibrant Community Spirit
The festivities kicked off early with registration opening at 8:00 AM, leading up to the official 10:00 AM "jump off." Participants dressed in tutus, bright outfits, and white shirts traversed the course while being showered with colorful powders, creating unforgettable scenes of joy and community solidarity.
Beyond the run itself, attendees enjoyed stalls featuring delicious treats like cupcakes, caramel popcorn, and homemade baked goods, while kids made the most of jumping castles and face-painting stations.
To ensure the team could celebrate this milestone alongside their supporters, Paws Haven temporarily limited routine operations for the day, attending exclusively to emergency call-outs.
