Wilmie Kasselman Crowned Miss Potchefstroom Academy 2026
The annual Miss Potchefstroom Academy 2026 pageant concluded on Saturday, 1 August 2026, marking a celebratory evening focused on confidence, leadership, and student achievement. The event, which opened with red-carpet arrivals at 15:00, brought together students, faculty, and supporters to celebrate the institution's top representatives.
The Finalists and Competition
Thirteen finalists competed for the coveted title: Lara Visser, Chenique Terblanche, Zanè Marais, Kaylee Wentzel, Mia du Toit, Gabriella Hefer, Carlia Raath, Wilmie Kasselman, Ammie, Carla Meintjies, Elsje Joubert, Louanne Jacobs, and Lindsay-Jade Smith. Throughout the campaign, the contestants participated in photographic sessions and public voting challenges leading up to the final stage performances.
The Judging Panel and Event Hosts
The contestants were evaluated by a panel of five judges, including Dr. Chanel, Kaylie Bennett, Marinet Potgieter, Anne-Lize Denobili, and Otto Lessing, representing diverse expertise across leadership, business, and professional development.
The evening’s proceedings were hosted by Jandré Booyens, Marketing Executive and Student Advisor at Potchefstroom Academy and SAAHST, who served as Master of Ceremonies. At the culmination of the evening, Wilmie Kasselman was officially crowned Miss Potchefstroom Academy 2026. Kasselman was also awarded the title of Miss Photogenic 2026, following public participation in the pre-event photo voting contest.
