Rebuilding Hope: Promosa Community Youth Centre Hosts 3rd Annual Sports, Arts & Culture Tournament This Youth
This Youth Day, June 16, 2026, the Promosa Stadium will transform into a vibrant hub of energy, talent, and solidarity. The Promosa Community Arts Centre, in collaboration with the Promosa Community Youth Centre, is proud to host its 3rd Annual Sports, Arts & Culture Tournament Event.
More than just a day of games, this year’s event is a major fundraising initiative running under a powerful and urgent theme: "Support For Change."
Standing United Against Social Evils
The organizers are aiming to take this year’s event to an entirely new level, using the power of sports and the arts to address the systemic issues facing local youth.
"Let this event become a turning point in our community history as we unite against the social evils destroying our youth and our communities," the organization shared in a statement. "Let's save our youth against drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, and alcohol abuse. Let's stand together and rebuild Sports, Arts, and Culture back into our communities."By bringing the motto "Giving Hope To The Hopeless" to life, the event aims to provide a safe, constructive, and uplifting environment for the youth of Promosa and surrounding areas.
An Action-Packed Lineup
Starting at 09:00 AM, the Promosa Stadium on Park Street will come alive with a massive variety of entertainment and activities designed for all age groups:
Sports Tournaments: Action-packed Football, Netball, and Hockey games.
Fitness & Wellness: A Bicycle Marathon, Aerobics sessions, and vital Self-Defense demonstrations.
Arts & Entertainment: Live musical performances and dynamic Dance Group showcases.
Family Fun: Fun table games, Face Painting, and Jumping Castles for the little ones.

To ensure the entire community can participate, entry fees have been kept highly accessible:

Adults: R10
Food & Business Stalls: R100 (A fantastic opportunity for local entrepreneurs to showcase their goods!)

The growing impact of this annual event is reflected in the massive lineup of prestigious stakeholders and interest groups backing the initiative. Partners include the JB Marks Sports Arts and Culture, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda Sports Arts and Culture, North West Federation of Community Arts Centres, South African Hockey Association, Ikageng CPF, Ikageng SAPS Youth Desk, Blue Ribbon, National Institute Community Development and Management (NICDAM), and various local Community Arts Centres (CAC) like Kanana and Machubelanaga.
