Bult Oktoberfest returns for fifth year

The annual Bult Oktoberfest is scheduled to return to Cachet Park on Saturday, 10 October 2026. The festival lineup features two stages, live entertainment, traditional German-themed games, and a variety of local and imported beers. Gates open at 10:00 AM, and on-site parking is available for attendees.

Main stage and live entertainment

The festival features a Main Stage with a lineup of Afrikaans artists and live acts, including Zaan Sonnekus, Franja du Plessis, Ivan Roux, Wanderlust, and Johan Loots. International Oom-Pah music will be provided by Velvet Sounds, alongside performances from the Jägermeister Brass Cartel. Lerisha Storm will serve as the master of ceremonies (MC) for the event.

A series of traditional German games and competitions are scheduled throughout the day. Festivalgoers can participate in or watch the Wurst Toss, Keg Roll, Hammerschlagen, and Steinholding competitions. There are also categories for Best Dressed, Miss Oktoberfest, and a Beer Belly competition. Organisers encourage attendees to dress up in traditional German attire, such as Lederhosen or Dirndls.

Electronic music and the DJ stage

As the afternoon transitions into the evening, the focus shifts toward electronic and dance music at the second performance area. The DJ Stage lineup includes a mix of house music and electronic acts:

The festival takes place at Cachet Park along Hoffman Street. Food stalls will serve authentic German food and other festival eats alongside a selection of beverages.
