(Note: Standard R650 adoption fees cover age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, rabies vaccination, microchipping, and future sterilisation when the kitten reaches the appropriate age).
The Adoption Process
To match each cat with a suitable home, Paws Haven maintains a structured adoption procedure:
Step 1: Contact & Application: Prospective adopters reach out to Paws Haven to express interest and complete the standard adoption application form.
Step 2: Home Inspection: A brief property check is conducted to ensure the living space is secure and safe for a cat.
Step 3: Meet-and-Greet: Applicants visit the shelter facility to interact with the cats and identify the right match for their household.
Step 4: Adoption Agreement & Payment: Upon approval, adopters complete the formal agreement and settle any applicable adoption fee to cover necessary veterinary treatments.
Step 5: Transition Home: The cat is welcomed into their new home along with complete medical records and a designated schedule for upcoming spay or neuter services where applicable.

In addition to rehoming efforts, Paws Haven's active campaigns focus on population control and community welfare:
